01 · BACKGROUND

Customer Background

Enterprise Type

A Port Operator Enterprise, responsible for large container port operation management and handling equipment maintenance, is a national key transportation infrastructure facilities operator.

Enterprise Scale: [TBD]

Port Scale

Port contains container terminals, bulk cargo terminals, cold ironing systems, reefer container yards and other multi facilities, distribution rooms, substations, cranes are widely distributed, power load is large and types are complex.

Berth Count/Throughput: [TBD]

Industry Position

National Critical Transportation Infrastructure, need strict compliance with JTS 165 "General Design Code to Sea Port" and GB 50057 "Design Code to Protection of Buildings Against Lightning" standards, very high safe operation requirements.

Compliance Standard: JTS 165 / GB 50057

02 · CHALLENGES

Business Challenges

01

Marine Environment Corrosion Causes High Electrical Hazard Incidence

Port long period in high salt spray, high humidity marine environment, cold ironing systems, crane electrical cabinets, reefer container distribution line insulation easily ages, leakage and electrical fire hazards are significantly higher than onshore scenarios, traditional manual inspection is hard to detect in time.

02

Handling equipment power is large, temperature monitoring is hard

Bridge cranes, gantry cranes, conveyors and other large power handling equipment operate under long-period high load, cable joints and distribution box temperatures easily rise abnormally high, lack of continuous online temperature monitoring means, overheat hazards are hard to warn early.

03

Cold ironing system safety monitoring requirements are high

Berthed ships use cold ironing within range, voltage fluctuation, leakage, overload and other risks are prominent. Need for cold ironing sockets, distribution cabinets, and transformers real-time electrical safety monitoring, ensure crew and port personnel safety.

04

Reefer container group monitoring points are dense

Reefer container yard distribution circuits are dense, single box power is large. Manual inspection is time-consuming, coverage is limited, and some regions affected by operation control are hard to inspect at high frequency, electrical hazards are hard to detect in time.

Network Topology

Sensing Layer: ESA Electrical Safety Monitoring Alarm Devices are deployed at port main distribution cabinets and cold ironing distribution cabinets, ESB Electrical Safety Monitoring Terminals are deployed at crane control cabinets and reefer container distribution boxes, EST temperature sensors are attached to crane cable joints/cold ironing sockets/breaker contacts and other key hot spots, ESX Electrical Safety Monitoring Devices are deployed at bulk cargo handling equipment control boxes.

Network Layer: Each sensing terminal connects via RS485 bus (Modbus-RTU protocol) to nearby FG Smart Gateway, FG gateway uploads via optical fiber private network/4G cellular network uplink to port operator company grid network, key nodes support dual-link redundant backup to ensure data transmission reliability.

Platform Layer: Data aggregates to FEXLINK Cloud Platform (private deployment), providing web & mobile visualization dashboard, real-time alarms, history trend analysis, O&M work order dispatch, compliance report auto generation, multi-role permission management and other functions.

Integration Layer: Cloud platform through standard REST API / Modbus TCP protocol, and port existing TOS (Terminal Operating System), SCADA, equipment management system integration, achieve data sharing and linked alarms, unified into O&M work order process.
