FAQ
How does a multi-pulse SPD differ from a standard SPD?
A multi-pulse SPD is tested to 10 pulses, rated Pn 10P, at a peak current of 40kA. It is intended for locations with frequent thunderstorms and repeated strikes, where a single-pulse rating would not describe the real duty.
What is the benefit of the built-in backup protection?
The built-in power-frequency short-circuit protector is rated Isc 100A with a breaking time of 0.9~1.5s. No external circuit breaker is needed upstream of the SPD, which saves space inside the enclosure.
What are the Up and response time values?
The voltage protection level Up is ≤1500V and the response time is ≤25ns. The same Up figure applies to the 2P, 3P and 4P versions, so downstream coordination can be calculated on one value.
Which models and protection modes are available?
ZL5-V-40kA/275-2P covers L, N-PE; ZL5-V-40kA/385-3P covers L1~L3 without N; ZL5-V-40kA/385-4P covers L1~L3 plus N-PE. All three share a 40kA multi-pulse peak current and ≤25ns response.
What certification applies and how is pricing provided?
Certification is held through a CE / CMA / CNAS accredited laboratory. Price and lead time are quoted per model and quantity; Request a quote with the model code and the protection mode required.
