How many insulation channels can be monitored at once?
Between 1 and 8 channels can be wired to one tester, sharing a common COM terminal. The channels are polled in sequence on RS485 remote commands, so a single instrument covers several busbar sections.
What are the measurement range and accuracy?
The insulation resistance range is 0.1MΩ~20GΩ. Accuracy is ±5%rdg±5dgt from 0.1MΩ~1GΩ, ±10%rdg±10dgt from 1~10GΩ and ±15%rdg±10dgt from 10~20GΩ.
Can absorption ratio and polarisation index be calculated?
The 3580B model calculates DAR over 1 minute and PI over 10 minutes, while the 3580 model measures insulation resistance and absorption ratio only. Test duration can be set to 20s, 60s, 1 min or 10 min.
What are the supply and mounting requirements?
An external DC 12V~24V supply of at least 1A is required, with 0.8W standby and 12W maximum consumption. The unit mounts on a 35mm DIN rail or by screws and is rated IP20.
